Maths

(a)  Measure and calculate perimeter of composite 2-D shapes.
Afiqah make a few composite 2-D shapes from some cards.  Measure  and calculate the perimeter of the shapes.

(a)
(b)

(c)

(d)

(e).Measure the perimeter of the following composite 2-D shapes using a ruler.
(f). Calculate the perimeter of the following composite 2-D shapes.

Measure the area of composite 2-D shapes.
The area of each small square is 1 cm².  Find the area of the composite shapes.

(a)

Area A = 9 x 1 cm² = 9 cm²
Area B = 4 x 1 cm² = 4 cm²
Total area = 9 cm² +  4 cm²

                   = 13 cm²

Area A = 4 x 1 cm² = 4 cm²
Area B = 12 x 1 cm² = 12 cm²
Total area = 4 cm² + 12 cm²
                   = 16 cm²
(c).

Area A = 3 x 1 cm² = 3 cm²
Area B = 7 x 1 cm² = 7 cm²
Total area = 3 cm² + 7 cm²
                   = 10 cm²

Find area of the composite 2-D shapes below.
